Turry Ouma (PhD student)

Turry Ouma joined the SDSC in July 2022 in a joint PhD position with ETHZ to work on the N2O-SSA project. Her research is focused on isotopic measurements and the application of machine learning and data analytics in environmental science. Before her PhD program, Turry was a senior research associate in data science at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture within the sub-Saharan Africa region. Turry holds an MSc in Research Methodology with a focus on statistics and biometrics from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Turry completed her PhD and left the University of Bern in June 2025, and we wish her all the best!
